Dora Olivia Yanar Basurto was born in El Paso , Tx and raised in Cd. Juarez, Mexico. Presently is the Project Coordinator of The Alliance of Border Coalitions with the U. S.-Mexico Border Health Association.
Dora has a Degree in Sociology from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker.(LBSW) issued by Texas State Board of Social Workers Examiners. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the Developing, Implementation and Administration of Education, Health and Social Services.
Worked 10 years at Project Vida which is a Community Based Organization that serves low income families since the beginning of the Agency assisting with the develop and implementation of each and every program that includes Case Management, the operation administration of Transitional Living Center for Homeless families, Continue support & guidance for children in the childhood Development Center and After School Program. Supervised Adulrt Education Program to include coordination of GED,and ESL , Computer and Parenting Classes. Supervise the Outreach Program and provide capacity building to health promoters in community interested theme. Organize 10 Annual Congress for Project Vida Members
