Baz-Wegman Conference
The Baz-Wegman Conference is the USMBHA Annual Meeting's main conference. During this conference, one keynote speaker from the United States and another one from Mexico present on a theme that is currently relevant to the U.S.-Mexico Border but also has a focus on the Annual Meeting's theme.
During the 65 th Annual Meeting, Dr. Bertha Madras, Director of the White House's Office of National Drug Control and Policy (ONDCP), was the Baz-Wegman keynote speaker where she presented on the drug addiction problem along the border region.
International Conference
The USMBHA in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), promotes the realization of a conference where international health themes and issues are presented by international speakers.
Dr. George Alleyne, PAHO's Emeritus Director, was this year's Annual Meeting speaker with a presentation on health promotion and disease prevention along the U.S.-Mexico Border.
